KS3 and KS4 Secondary English Tutoring
I am a qualified English Teacher with over 10 years’ experience. Offering tailored and personalised online sessions to promote confidence and enjoyment. I am passionate about teaching to the needs of the individual, focusing on wellbeing as well as academic achievement.
Sessions mostly take place on-line after school between 4-8pm Monday to Thursday during the school terms.
There is also availability for daytime sessions if your child is home-schooled.
Reading engagement, catch up and refresher sessions also run during some of the holidays and some weekends.
Regular long-term sessions or ad-hoc one off sessions are available.
Educational Services and CPD Sessions for Schools
- How to implement and imbed reading for pleasure strategies within the classroom, or as a whole school initiative
- Improve reading engagement levels in reading
- Provide accessible updates on the changes to literacy within the National Curriculum
- Lead and run reading intervention sessions including data analysis and collection
- Guidance on setting up your school library or reading spaces
- Advise and collaborate with your literacy and/or EAL leads for maximum impact
Additional Services
Reading and Writing Groups Online and In Person
One to one or group sessions are created for students, parents, and adults looking to read, enjoy and understand texts. You will be encouraged to think about your own response to texts and discuss your interpretations in a safe, friendly, and fun online space.
I also collaborate with local author, Rosemary Hayes, to offer in person reading and writing workshops and courses for adults who wish to engage in reading and writing for pleasure.
Professional Writing Services
Let me help you with any CVs, letters, proofreading, copywriting, or any other reading or writing services that you don’t have time for. I have been a copywriter for several businesses over the last five years.
